Team Identiti at the Schwalbe British 4x 2011 Round 2, PORC

PORC in Kent has long been established as a great place to ride downhill/4x in the south east of the England. Being within a spit of London town it has always had a pretty loyal array of riders. I personally rode 4x there before I even knew what 4x was! It has been there for well over a decade and hosts possibly the longest 4x track in the UK, as well as countless short technical downhill runs with a super short push up.

Unfortunately racing this weekend was called to a close prematurely on Sunday due to a freak accident at the start of 1/4 finals that left Scott Shepherd in a very serious condition track side. Chris Roberts, Schwalbe British 4x Series Organiser, made the very difficult and honorable decision to cancel racing for the day to make sure everything that could be done for Scott was done properly. Team Identiti and I'm sure everyone racing on the day, as well as all you fellow mountain bikers want to wish Scott a speedy recovery and wish his family well.

Results will be published soon, once the points from the first heats of the day have been calculated by Chris and his crew, but for now here is a selection of photos of the team and from the day. The Schwalbe British 4x Series, Round 2 at PORC, Kent.

Dave Franciosy has over 1000 photos from the day and will be supplying them free of charge to anyone who donates to the Kent Air Ambulance, the guys who flew Scott into London to get treated.

sorry to hear about that scott guy , it would be good to get a few more of the 4x races going on at porc as i feel it is a different track and offers a lot for some of the loacl riders who can get into the racing side of things with little experience , looked like a great day though , just a shame it had to end the way it did

Having see the crash head on, it was horrible. And for it to have been horrible to watch, that says alot. Wishing you all the best Scott. Crash aside-it was an excellent day!
